RAJSHAHI, Aug 14, 2025 (BSS) - The interim government is working to create a business-friendly environment in the country, which is helping improve economic conditions and encouraging new industrial ventures.

Industrialists and local entrepreneurs made the observation today while inaugurating the Shimul Auto-Flour Mills in Madhusudanpur area of Paba Upazila in the district today. 

The new mill aims to boost the local agro-based economy by generating employment opportunities.

President of the Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industries (RCCI) Masudur Rahman, Vice President Sultan Mahmud, General Manager of Sonali Bank PLC Shawkat Jaman, Assistant General Manager Masud Hassan, mill owner Shahajahan Ali and Branch Manager of Meghna Bank PLC Mamunur Rashid attended the inauguration.

Speaking at the event, RCCI President Masudur Rahman expressed hope that the mill will create jobs and strengthen the region's agro-based economy. 

He added that such ventures could inspire other local entrepreneurs to establish new industries, further advancing Rajshahi's industrial development.

Shawkat Jaman of Sonali Bank said the banking sector continues to support entrepreneurs and expected the mill would contribute to ensuring food security for the local population.
