THAKURGAON, May 27, 2025 (BSS) - A two-day science and technology fair was inaugurated today in the district with the theme of "We will win in knowledge and science, we will be the best in the world."

National Science and Technology Museum Director (Joint Secretary) Dr. Md. Moniruzzaman inaugurated the fair at the multipurpose hall of Thakurgaon Government Boys' High School organized by the district administration this morning.

Deputy Commissioner Ishrat Farzana presided over the function. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Jasmine Nahar, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Khairul Islam, Thakurgaon Government College Principal Professor Shamim Hossain, District Primary Education Officer Mofazzal Hossain and others spoke at the time.

The speakers said there was a time when people did not know how to make oral saline. Now we get all kinds of information sitting at home. All this has happened only through science and technology. 

 A total of 30 stalls have been set up in the fair where students from various institutions of the district including the upazila brought their science-based displays. 

 The invited guests visited the stalls of this fair.

In addition, there are various events during the two-day fair, including debate competitions, science Olympiads, science-based quiz competitions, and prize distribution.
