Youth startup summit held to inspire, empower entrepreneurs

DHAKA, Feb 13, 2025 (BSS) - A Day-long Youth Startup Summit-2025 was held at Shahjalal Science and Technology University auditorium today to encourage and empower young entrepreneurs across the country.
 
Startup Bangladesh Ltd. under the ICT Division hosted the Youth Startup Summit-2025 to inspire and empower young entrepreneurs across the country. The summit was launched through 'Youth Innovation Challenge 2025', discussions and exhibition.

The participating teams had to ensure that the ideas submitted must be original and not a direct copy of existing solutions, said a press release.

Out of a vast pool of applications, eight teams were selected to pitch their startup concepts to the panel of judges. 

The teams were InclusiCare, Pritilata, AutoMAMA, Game Changer, SignTalk, Synerbotics and Electric and Daricomma. The judge panel was represented by key professionals from relevant sectors.

The competition ended with the winner announcement at the prize giving ceremony. Professor Dr AM Sarwaruddin Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor, (SUST) and Professor Dr Md Shajedul Karim, Pro Vice Chancellor, (SUST) announced the winners.

The winning team SignTalk received the prize money of Tk. 3,00,000. Team Inclusicare received Tk. 2,00,000 for being first runner-up and team Daricomma received Tk. 1,00,000 for being the second runner-up.

Quamrun Naher Siddiqua, Additional Secretary of the ICT Division inaugurated the event as the chief guest, while Managing Director of Startup Bangladesh Ltd. Sami Ahmed and others spoke.

The summit offered exceptional networking opportunities to the participants.
