DHAKA, Sept 28, 2021 (BSS) - The 75th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also president of ruling Awami League, was celebrated across the country today. 

  The Awami League, its associate and front organisations and different government and private organisations held various programmes marking the day. 

   To mark the day, Kushtia district AL organized a discussion and a doa mahfil at its office in the morning. With district AL President Sadar Uddin Khan in the chair, the function was addressed, among others, by its General Secretary Ajgor Ali and Vice President Jahid Hossain Jafor.

   At Moksudpur in Gopalganj district, a free eye checkup camp was set marking the Prime Minister's birthday. Medicines were also distributed among 400 people in the camp. 

   To celebrate the PM's birthday, a free medical camp was organized at Chandpur Bellevue Hospital this morning. Besides, Chandpur district Awami League arranged a milad and doa mahfil. 

   In Noakhali, a rally led by municipality mayor Shahid Ullah Khan paraded different streets in the town celebrating the birthday. Foods were distributed among poor people on the municipality premises later. 

   In Bhola, a discussion meeting was held at Zilla Parishad auditorium this afternoon in the town. With district AL leader Md Dost Mahmud in the chair, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Zilla Parishad Chairman Abdul Momin Tulu and Upazila Parishad Chairman Md Mosharrof Hossain. District Chhatra League organized a colorful rally in the town on the occasion. 

   Magura district Jubo League planted saplings on Govt Boys' School premises in the morning. District AL General Secretary Pankoj Kundu Prodhan was present. 

   Sheikh Hasina's birthday was also celebrated in Lakshmipur, Shariotpur, Narail, Brahmanbaria, Moulvibazar, Bogura, Jhalokathi, Pabna, Rajshahi, Chapainawabganj, Rangpur, Thakurgaon, Dinajpur, Panchagarh and many other districts.
