PANCHAGARH, May 24, 2024 (BSS)- Two youths were killed in a road accident in
Sabouspara central graveyard area on Debiganj-Voulaganj Paka Road under
Debiganj upazila of the district on Thursday night at about 9 pm.

The deceased were identified as Pouspo Deb, 25, son of Dipen and Sujon 18,
son of Ajit kumar. Both hailed from Proundipara village in Debiganj upazila.

According to the eye witnesses, the accident occurred when a motorcycle
collided head-on with a Mahindra Tractor in the area around 9 pm and fell
into a roadside ditch as the rider lost his control over the steering,
leaving the rider Sujon dead on the spot and injuring co rider Pouspo
critically.

The wounded person was rushed to Debiganj Health Complex but the duty doctor
referred him to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) as his condition
deteriorated. But Pouspo Deb succumbed to his injuries on the way to
hospital.

Police seized the Mahindra.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Debiganj thana Iftekarul Mokkadem confirmed the
matter.
