COX'S BAZAR, Sept 20, 2021 (BSS) - A local leader of Bangladesh Krishak
League has been shot dead by miscreants in Fansiakhali Union under Chakaria
upazila of the district last night.

   The victim was identified as Sarwar Kamal, general secretary of Fasiakhali
Union Krishak League of the upazila.

   Police recovered the body from Ghonarpara in Fasiakhali early today.

   Mohiuddin, a UP member of the union's 9th ward, said that Sarwar called
him around 3 am. After receiving his call, he went to his house and saw
Sarwar's body lying in the yard of his house.

   His wife was not at home at the time, he added.

   However, no one could recognize the miscreants.

   Additional Superintendent of Police of Cox's Bazar Rafiqul Islam said the
body was recovered and sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
