CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Feb 26, 2024 (BSS)- The members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested three persons allegedly for taking and selling drugs regularly from Chapainawabganj sadar upazila yesterday afternoon. 

The arrestees are- Sree Krishna Singha, 34, Sree Utpal Chandra Vaskar, 28 both of Bohoram Tantipara village and Md. Rajib Islam, 28 of Chunakhali Khalifapara, all under Chapainawabganj sadar upazila. 

RAB said, acting on local complaint, a team of RAB-5 of Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid at a banana orchard at Ramchandrapurhat under sadar upazila at around 3-10 pm and arrested the trio as they were taking hemp.

Later the elite force handed them over to the Chapainawabganj sadar police station and filed a case in this connection, the sources added.
