NOAKHALI, Feb 1, 2024 (BSS) - Three lobourers died after being electrocuted in Sadar Upazila today.

The deceased were identified as Shakil, 20, hailed from Wapda village in sadar Upazila, Riaz, 28, a resident in Sonapur area and Kamrul, 30, an inhabitant in Chandina area in Cumilla district.

Locals said the fatal incident occurred this afternoon near Durgapur govt primary school. Shakil, Riaz and Kamrul came to contact with a live wire while piling for building in the area. They were brought at a private hospital at Chowmuhani Bazar where the duty doctor declared them dead. 

Officer-in-Charge of Begumganj Thana Md Anowarul Islam said their bodies were brought to Upazila Health Complex.
