CUMILLA, Jan 31, 2024 (BSS) - A team of mobile court in a drive here today realised Taka 8 lakh as fine from the owners of two brick kilns for constructing brick kilns in crop fields without permission and various irregularities in Chandina upazila of the district.

Sources concerned said the mobile court, led by executive magistrate and Chandina Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Jaber Md. Shoaib, conducted the drive at Haji Bricks in Naotla village of the upazila, which was fined Taka four lakh, and Mumtaz Bricks -2 in Jiruish village, which was fined Taka four lakh.

Members of the law enforcement agencies assisted in the operation.

The mobile court has sealed off the two illegal brick kilns, Jaber Md. Shoaib said.
