CUMILLA, Jan 22, 2024 (BSS) - A mobile court during a drive here today realised Taka 1,50,000 as fine from the owners of four unregistered private hospitals and diagnostic centres for various irregularities and not having the approval of the health department at Sadar upazila here.

The mobile court led by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate of Mobile Court Yusuf Hasan, conducted the drive at Homna Modern Hospital and fined Taka 1,00,000, Nirapad Hospital and Diagnostic Center and fined Taka 10,000, Khidma Diagnostic Center and fined Taka 20,000 and Central Hospital and Digital Diagnostic Center and fined Taka 20,000 for various irregularities apart from not having the approval of the health department.

Members of the law enforcement agencies assisted the mobile court.

"The drive will continue in the district," Yusuf Hasan said.
