JAMALPUR, January 2, 2024 (BSS)-Three persons including a driver were killed and three others injured in a road accident on Jamalpur-Mymenshingh road under Jamalpur Sadar here this afternoon.
                                                                                      
According to police sources, a CNG run auto rickshaw from Mymenshingh collided head on with a sand laden truck coming from opposite direction at Bharuakhali area at around 4:20 pm. In the accident, driver of the auto rickshaw and its two passengers died on the spot. Three other passengers of the auto rickshaw were also injured.                                              
Officer-in-Charge of Jamalpur Sadar police station Mohabbat Kabir said that the identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

After the accident, the truck driver escaped leaving the vehicle son the spot, the OC added.
