JHENAIDAH, Sept 27, 2021 (BSS) - A total of 400 small and marginal

farmers got onion seeds and fertilizer as agri-incentives for cultivating
summer onion in Sadar upazila of the district today.

     Sadar Upazila Chairman Advocate Abdur Rashid distributed the incentives
among the farmers at a function held at the upazila parishad premises as the
chief guest while Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) SM Shahin was in the chair.

     Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) training officer Vijay Krishna
Haldar, upazila agriculture officer Zahidul Karim, upazila women vice-
chairman Arti Dutta, DAE officer Imdadul Hasan, among others, were present at
the function.

     Each of the farmers was given one kg of high quality onion seeds and 40
kg of fertilizers, DAE office sources said.
