BAGERHAT, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS)- A group of European tourists from Sweden and
Norway accompanied by UNDP representatives visited the Karamjal area of the
vast Sundarbans wildlife breeding center in Mongla, Bagerhat district.

Officer-in-Charge of Karamjal Wildlife Breeding Centre Howlader Azad Kabir
along with members of the forest guard team welcomed and greeted the
tourists.

Foreign tourists gain practical ideas and experiences about the various spots
in the Sundarbans by looking at the borders of Bangladesh and India,
including the deer and crocodile breeding centers.

Howlader Azad Kabir gave them a proper idea about the statistics of famous
Royal Bengal tigers, deer and monkeys in the Sundarbans.

He said the number of tigers is 125 in the entire Sundarbans while the deer
is 132,044 and monkeys are 152,444.

Some of the tourists are the leaders and activists of different political
parties in their respective countries, Azad Kabir added.
