DHAKA, Sept 11, 2026 (BSS)- International Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Bangladesh defeated Indian Grandmaster Iniyan, Pa in the sixth round of the 1st Berjaya Global Open Chess 2026 –Masters in Johor, Malaysia today (Friday).

Playing with the white pieces IM Fahad faced GM Iniyan Pa’s Sicilian Defense and secured victory in 32 moves.

With five points from six games, IM Fahad Rahman is currently sharing the lead in the standings with two other players.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s International Master Manon Reza Neer drew his sixth-round game against Chinese International Master Li Bo. Neer has scored 3.5 points from six games.
