DHAKA, Sept 2, 2026 (BSS) - The first phase of the 'BRAC Bank Oporajeyo Alo 
Women's Hockey Development Programme-2026', organised by the Bangladesh 
Hockey Federation and sponsored by BRAC Bank, is set to begin tomorrow 
(Thursday) in Khagrachhari Stadium.

The special grassroots development programme has been organised to encourage 
women to take up hockey and help develop their skills in the sport.

In the first phase, the hockey programme is being conducted in Khagrachhari, 
Bandarban, Rangamati, Sylhet, Netrokona, Cumilla and Narayanganj. 

The Bangladesh Hockey Federation has taken this timely initiative to bring 
women from the hill regions into the mainstream of sports.
