DHAKA, Aug 28, 2026 (BSS) - The 5th Federation Cup Taekwondo competition has been inaugurated today at National Sports Council (NSC) gymnasium in the capital.

NSC Executive Director (Joint Secretary) Doulotuzzaman Khan and Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation (BTF) Vice Present Md Ahaduzzaman were present in the opening ceremony as the chief guests.

A total of 450 taekwondo players from districts, associations, services teams and clubs from across the country are taking part in the fight and poomsae events.

State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Aminul Haque is expected to present in the closing ceremony on Sunday (Aug 30) and distribute the prizes.
