DHAKA, Aug 27, 2026 (BSS) - The World Squash Federation (WSF) level-1 coaching course was inaugurated today (Thursday) at the squash court of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), at its Bashundhara campus, a day after the formal kicks off.
The five-day course, conducted through the Bangladesh Olympic Association under the Olympic Solidarity Programme of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), is being held under the guidance of Iranian international squash coach Mohasin Javed.
Under the first five-year Vision-2025 plan, the Bangladesh Squash Racket Federation (BSRF) had previously organized three world squash federation level-1 coaching courses and one world squash federation level-2 coaching course, producing a sufficient number of internationally qualified squash coaches.
The BSRF has been working to revive squash in the country and promote professionalism and sustainable development of the sport.
The organizers hope that the WSF-recognized Level-1 coaching course will provide international-standard training to more squash coaches in the country.
