DHAKA, Aug 24, 2026 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) expressed 
deep shock and sorrow at the death of Abdul Mannan, president of Mansur 
Sporting Club, a registered club in the Premier Division of the BHF men's 
section and a noted sports organiser.

Abdul Mannan passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in 
the capital on Sunday, said a BHF press release here today.

At his death, the handball referees association, handball coaches association 
and members of the wider handball community, including organisers, coaches, 
referees, players and sports enthusiasts also expressed deep shock and 
sorrow.

The BHF prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed their 
profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
