DHAKA, Aug 16, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh High Performance (HP) team completed a
3-0 ODI series sweep over visiting Malaysia after romping to a massive 237-
run victory in the third and final match today at Bashundhara Sports Complex
in the city.
After winning the toss and opting to bat, Bangladesh posted a formidable 369-
7 in their stipulated 50 overs, with wicketkeeper-batter Adil Bin Siddique
leading the charge with a brilliant 135 off 111 balls.
Adil struck 14 fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 121.6, anchoring the
innings in an aggressive fashion.
The amount of runs caused mental breakdown to Malayasia which was folded for
just 132 in 31.4 overs, handing the HP a facile victory.
Khalid Hasan played a perfect foil to Adil with 73 off 86 balls, including
six fours and two sixes, while Jawad Abrar added further impetus with a rapid
53 off just 32 balls, hitting five fours and as many sixes.
Moinul Islam Tanmoy contributed 30 off 27 balls, while Rizan Hossain made 15
off 12, Ahrar Amin Payen 24 off 19 and Sheikh Parvez Jiban remained unbeaten
on 23 off 13. Rafiuzzaman Rafi was unbeaten without scoring, while Debashish
Sarkar was dismissed for a duck.
Malaysia's chase never got going as Bangladesh's bowlers struck regularly to
bowl them out for just 132 in 31.4 overs.
Captain Syed Aziz top-scored with 20, while Prashant Madhukar remained
unbeaten on 18. Nazmus Shakib and Vijay Unni both scored 16, with Aslam Khan
and Ahmed Akil contributing 15 each. Azab Khan made 14.
None of Malaysia's other batters could reach double figures, with Saif Ullah
Malik and Muhammad Amir dismissed for ducks. Virandeep Singh scored four.
Bangladesh maintained pressure throughout the innings, taking wickets at
regular intervals to seal a comprehensive victory and complete a dominant 3-0
series sweep.
