DHAKA, Aug 2, 2026 (BSS) - Former Bangladesh opener Imrul Kayes has successfully completed Cricket Australia's Level-2 coaching course, adding another milestone to his career.
Imrul, who retired from professional cricket several years ago and has since transitioned into coaching, shared the news through a social media post today.
“I am truly delighted to have successfully completed the Level 2 Cricket Coaching Course under Cricket Australia today,” he wrote in a post in his verified facebook page.
“I would like to extend a special thanks to Cricket Australia and Cricket NSW, under whose supervision I completed this program. This has been a fantastic experience for me in my cricket coaching journey.”
The former national cricketer described the programme as a valuable learning experience and said it would help him contribute more effectively to the development of young cricketers.
“I believe that the knowledge and skills I’ve gained from this course will enable me to make a meaningful contribution and give my best to the next generation of young cricketers. It was truly a wonderful experience,” he added.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh 'A' team are scheduled to tour Australia later this month to participate in the Top End T20 tournament. Imrul will be part of the team's coaching staff during the tour.
