DHAKA, July 29, 2026 (BSS)- Bangladesh national men's volleyball team take on host Pakistan in the gold-deciding final match of CAVA Men's Volleyball Championship scheduled for today (Wednesday) afternoon at the Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The match kicks off at 4.30 pm Bangladesh time. 

Earlier in the tournament, Bangladesh defeated Uzbekistan 3-2 in their opening match before suffering a 3-0 defeat to hosts Pakistan in the second match.

The team bounced back strongly by edging Kazakhstan 3-2 in their third match and defeating Nepal 3-2 in the fourth, setting up their semifinal clash against Uzbekistan.

The boys in red and green cbooked their ticket of final with a commanding 3-0 straight-set victory over Uzbekistan in the first semifinal.

Pakistan, on the other hand, remained unbeaten in the tournament. The hosts side reached the final after sweeping straight 3-0 set win over Sri Lanka in the second semifinal.
