DHAKA, July 25, 2026 (BSS)- Bangladesh fast bowler Hasan Mahmud hopes to make the most of the experience he gained during his county stint in England in 
the upcoming Test series against Australia.

Hasan last featured in the Sri Lanka Premier League (LPL) after completing a successful county season, where he played both red-ball and white-ball 
cricket. The pacer believes the exposure has helped him grow as a bowler and will benefit him in international cricket.

Speaking to the media today, Hasan said the conditions in Darwin are similar to those in Bangladesh.

"The conditions are very close. The weather in Darwin is a lot like Bangladesh-it's a little hot," he said.
 
"I think the pitch will help me. As a pace bowler, I expect movement and bounce. There is a lot on offer for fast bowlers if we stick to our process 
and start well."

Reflecting on his county experience, Hasan said it was rewarding to earn the trust of his club.

"When you perform well for a team and they want you back next year, it's a great feeling as a sportsman. Their culture and cricket have given me 
valuable experience, and I'm sure it will help me in international cricket."

Regarding the Australia tour, Hasan said his focus is on contributing consistently with the ball.

"My plan is to play my best cricket, continue bowling well, take wickets for the team, and contribute the way I started during my county stint."
 
The fast bowler also stressed the significance of Bangladesh's upcoming Test series in Australia.

While Bangladesh haven't played Test format against Australia since the two-match home series in 2017, they are visiting Australia for a Test series for 
the first time after 2003.

"We are playing a Test series against Australia after 10 or 11 years, and this time it's on their home soil. These are very important matches for me," 
he said. 

"Every cricketer dreams of performing well in overseas Tests and winning. That is the dream for all of us--to give our best and try to make the series 
ours."
