DHAKA, July 20, 2026 (BSS)- The 2nd President Bangladesh Squash concluded at Bashundhara Sports City Complex in the capital today (Monday).
Held under the supervision of the Bangladesh Squash Federation and organised by the Bangladesh Professional Squash Association (BPSA), the country's first international professional squash tournament of its kind marked a new milestone for Bangladesh's sporting arena.
Over the past three days, the historic tournament featured thirty two competitors, including world-ranked professional players from Bangladesh, Nepal and Malaysia, alongside the country's leading amateur players.
The event provided participants with valuable international match experience while showcasing advanced squash techniques and modern playing skills.
The closing and prize-giving ceremony was chaired by Maj. Gen. Md. Hasan Uz Zaman, president of the Bangladesh Squash Federation and Engineer-in-Chief of the Bangladesh Army.
The chief guest was Md. Safiqul Islam Khan, Administrator of the Dhaka North City Corporation.
Bangladesh Squash Federation vice-president Rashed Chowdhury, it’s general secretary Brig. Gen (retd). GM Quamrul Islam Chief executive officer of Bashundhara Sports City Col (retd). Mohasinul Karim, the federation's national coach Mohsen Javed of Iran, members of the Federation's executive and development committees, senior officials of the Bashundhara Group and players, were among others, were present in the closing ceremony.
