DHAKA, July 20, 2026 (BSS) - Three players shared the lead in the points table with four points after the 4th round of the Manha's Castle 29th International Rating Chess Tournament now held at Bangladesh Chess Federation Hall-Roon.

They are Syed Mahfuzur Rahman, Candidate Master S. M. Sharon, and Sarwar Hossain Ullash.

Eight players shared the second position with 3.5 points. They are International Master Md. Minhaz Uddin, FIDE Master Sheikh Nasir Ahmed, Siam Chowdhury, Tashriq Saihan Shan, Oitijjo Barua, Candidate Master Md. Masum Hossain, Candidate Master Mahtabuddin Ahmed and Muhtady Tajwar Nasheed.

In the fourth round matches, FM Mahfuz defeated Neeloy Debnath, CM Sharon defeated Faisal Hossain while Ullash defeated Mohammad Shakil. 

International Master Minhaz Uddin defeated Kazi Sayif, FIDE Master Nasir Ahmed defeated M. M. Zahirul Islam, Oitijjo Barua defeated CM Tutul Dhar, CM Masum Hossain defeated CM Avik Sarker, Tashriq Saihan Shan defeated Md. Fariduddin Ahmed, CM Mahtabuddin Ahmed defeated Sk. Rashedul Hasan and FIDE Master Subrato Biswas defeated Md. Tariqur Rahman. Nasheed split points with Siam Chowdhury, WIM Wadifa Ahmed split points with CM Sohel Chowdhury and FM Md. Saif Uddin Lavlu split points with IM Abu Sufian Shakil.
