PARIS, France, July 13, 2026 (AFP) - A minute's silence will be observed before the World Cup semi-final between France and Spain on Tuesday, in tribute to the victims of the Nice attack of July 14, 2016, French President Emmanuel Macron announced.

"Thank you to the President of FIFA for responding to the request of France and of all French people who have mobilised. We will never forget," Macron said Monday in a post on X.
