DHAKA, June 25, 2026 (BSS) - Matthew Campbell struck a fluent century as
Zimbabwe A reached 289-6 on Day 2 of the second unofficial Test against
Bangladesh Emerging team at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today.
The Day 2 was also interrupted by rain, allowing 52 overs after 38-over-play
on Day 1.
Resuming the day at 167-3, Zimbabwe A team looked to score fluently with rain
in the forecast.
Campbell led the charge with 118 ball-119, an innings featuring 18 fours and
two sixes. Antum Naqvi was not out on 58.
Naqvi would resume the Day 3 with Vincent Masekesa who was batting on 3.
Campbell and Naqvi shared 58 runs for the fourth wicket to steady the
innings. After the dismissal of Campbell, Naqvi added 71-run with Jonathon
Campbell who made 33.
Anamul Haque and Musfik Hasan were the most successful bowlers for Bangladesh
Emerging Team with two wickets apiece. Ashraful Hasan Rohan and Nayeem Ahmed
picked up one wicket apiece.
The first unofficial Test ended in a draw after large part of the game were
interrupted by rain.
The Emerging team won the preceding three-match one-day series 2-0, with the
second one-day game washed out due to inclement weather.
