DHAKA, June 18, 2026 (BSS) - A three-day training programme titled “Sports Medicine and Basic Life Support (BLS)” concluded at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) in Savar today (Thursday).
BKSP director general Brigadier General Md. Saif Ullah attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
He distributed certificates among the participants and greeted both the trainees and the organizers for the successful completion of the programme.
Dr. Lutfor Rahman, director (administration and finance) of BKSP and organizing secretary of the seminar Abu Tareq, were also present, among others, at the closing ceremony.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the chief guest emphasized that the importance of sports medicine, rehabilitation and emergency medical care is increasing rapidly in modern sports to ensure athletes achieve peak performance.
BKSP director general said such training programmes would play a significant role in enhancing the professional competence and capabilities of athletes, coaches, physiotherapists and other sports-related professionals.
During the three-day programme, experts delivered both theoretical and hands-on training on sports medicine, injury prevention, rehabilitation management, and various aspects of Basic Life Support.
A total of hundred delegates representing sixteen institutions, including BKSP Dhaka, regional BKSP centres, and other organizations from across the country, participated in the training, organized by the department of sports science of BKSP.
