DHAKA, May 7 (BSS) - Samiun Basir starred in with a stellar all-round 
performance in the second round game of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) today 
while Mohammedan registered its second straight victory.

Legends of Rupganj vs Bashundhara Strikers

All-rounder Samiun Basir produced brilliant all-round performance as Legends 
of Rupganj clinched a facile 83-run victory over Bashundhara Strikers at 
BKSP-3 ground.

Batting first after reaching 170-5 in 27.2 overs, Rupganj were lifted by a 
blistering innings from Samiun, who struck an unbeaten 116 off 70 balls with 
six fours and 10 sixes.

His innings featured a rapid acceleration. He reached fifty off 37 balls 
before completing his century in 64 deliveries.

Rupganj went on to post a formidable 358- 8 in their 50 overs.

In reply, Bashundhara Strikers were bowled out for 275 in 41.3 overs despite 
Ziaur Rahman's 61 off 38 balls. Samiun further put an impact by claiming 3-
42, completing a match-defining all-round display.
 
Mohammedan vs Brothers Union

Mohammedan Sporting Club registered a five-wicket win over Brothers Union in 
a closely contested encounter at Bashundhara Sports City,

Chasing 210, Mohammedan were reduced to 50-3 before a crucial 127-run 
partnership between Towhid Hridoy and Taibur Rahman steadied the innings. 
Hridoy made 82 off 85 balls, while Taibur contributed 74 off 100 balls to 
guide their side home in 43.1 overs.

Brothers Union earlier posted a competitive total 209 before being all out in 
45 overs, led by Sohag Gazi's 50 off 35 balls.
 
Prime Bank vs Gulshan CC

Prime Bank Cricket Club romped to a 32-run victory over Gulshan Cricket Club 
in a rain-affected 36-over match at ULAB ground.

Prime Bank scored 200-9, anchored by Shahadat Hossain, who struck 75 off 66 
balls.

In response, Gulshan CC opener Mainul Hossain made 67 off 57 balls, but the 
innings fell short as they were restricted to 168-9. 

Prime Bank bowlers Aliss Al Islam and Shamim Mia took three wickets apiece to 
secure the win.
 
Gazi Group vs Rupganj Tigers

Gazi Group Cricketers recorded a comprehensive 92-run victory over Rupganj 
Tigers at BKSP-4 ground

Batting first, Gazi Group posted 285-8, thanks to Munim Shahriar's 92 off 58 
balls and Sabbir Hossain's 72 off 71 balls.

Rupganj Tigers collapsed to 103 all out in reply in 33.1 overs, with Mohammad 
Rubel claiming four wickets for 35 runs in a losing cause.
 
Agrani Bank vs Dhaka Leopards

Agrani Bank registered a 31-run win over Dhaka Leopards at BKSP despite a 
five-wicket haul from Alauddin Babu.

Agrani Bank scored 246-9, with captain Imrul Kayes making 64 off 60 balls and 
Zahid Javed adding 66 off 85 balls.

Chasing the target, Leopards were bowled out for 215 in 46.1 overs, with 
Saikat Ali top-scoring with 56 off 76 balls. Rabiul Haque and Arif Ahmed took 
three wickets each.
