DHAKA, April 23, 2026 (BSS) - The Inter-district Under-16 Girls' Rapid Chess Championship is set to begin tomorrow at the Riya Gope Women's Sports Complex in the capital.

National Sports Council Director (Deputy Secretary) for Sports is expected to inaugurate the day-long meet as the chief guest at 10 am. The event is being organized by the Bangladesh Women's Sports Complex.guest.

Youth and Sports Ministry Additional Secretary Amena Begum is scheduled to be present at the closing ceremony in the afternoon, where she will distribute prizes among the winners.

The participating district teams are Dhaka Metropolitan, Manikganj, Mymensingh, Gazipur, Magura, Cox's Bazar, Cumilla, Chandpur, Bogura, Brahmanbaria, Faridpur, Panchagarh, Narayanganj, Kushtia, Barisal, Bhola, Natore, Noakhali, Pabna, Bandarban, Sylhet and Kishorganj.
