DHAKA, April 12, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman has added another significant milestone to his T20 career, becoming one of the few bowlers to reach 3,000 dot balls in the format.
The left-arm pacer, adorably called as the ‘Cutter Master’ achieved the feat in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he is representing Lahore Qalandars.
With this achievement, Mustafizur now ranks fifth among fast bowlers with the most dot balls in T20 cricket history.
West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo leads the list with 3,681 dot balls in 546 innings. He is followed by Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir (3,348), West Indies’ Andre Russell (3,213), and Pakistan’s Sohail Tanvir (3,046).
Mustafizur’s consistency and control have long been hallmarks of his bowling, and his latest milestone further underlines his effectiveness in restricting batters in the shortest format.
The 28-year-old is also engaged in a close contest with Mohammad Amir among contemporary left-arm pacers. In T20 internationals, Mustafizur has claimed 418 wickets, just two short of Amir’s 420, putting him within striking distance of becoming the leading wicket-taker among left-arm pacers in the format.
In the current PSL season, Mustafizur has also outperformed Amir in terms of economy rate. While Amir has conceded runs at 9.78 per over, Mustafizur has maintained a significantly tighter rate of 7.07.
Although Dwayne Bravo is no longer a regular in franchise cricket, both Andre Russell and Sohail Tanvir remain active. However, given his age, current form, and consistency, Mustafizur appears to be in good position to climb further up the all-time rankings in the coming years.
