DHAKA, April 9, 2026 (BSS) -The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Tamim 
Iqbal announced the chairman of new standing committees following the board's 
meeting on Wednesday night.

Tamim, who assumed the charge of ad-hoc BCB ad-hoc committee after the Aminul 
Islam Bulbul-led committee was dissolved, confirmed that no particular member 
would be announced chairman of the cricket operations department, rather "any 
matter or inquiry coming from that department will be discussed and decided 
at the board level."

Identifying the cricket operations as a critical area, the new president said 
that the board is keen to avoid disruption at a time when it faces a three-
month deadline to deliver a credible election.

"Cricket Operations department is the most important area. We are entrusted 
to conduct an election with three months timeframe and so we felt this is a 
very sensitive department," said Tamim, who took the responsibility of two 
departments.
