DHAKA, March 2, 2026 (BSS)- State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul
Haque said a plan has been taken to bring players with special needs under a
specific salary structure to sustain their talent and success.

At the same time, initiatives will be taken to launch a national league for
them in phases, just like for general sports.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at a view-exchange meeting organised
with sports organisations run by people with special needs held at the
conference room of the National Sports Council here today (Monday).

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr M A Muhit was also present as
a special guest at the meeting.

Aminul Haque said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has given utmost importance
to sports. "The government is determined to maintain continuity the glorious
success that our special needs players are bringing at the national and
international levels. We want to bring all disability sports organisations
under a common platform," he added.

The State Minister also said that a new horizon would be opened for players
with special needs through nationalization of sports. Special plans would be
taken to remove the financial constraints of clubs of various organizations,

In the future, sports will be recognized as a profession in Bangladesh. We
have plans to formulate a monthly salary structure for players with special

sports equipment will be met in phases.
