DHAKA, Feb 19, 2026 (BSS)- Six players advanced to the third round beating their respective opponents in the Spectrum Bangladesh National Cup Chess held at the Chess Federation hall-room today (Wednesday).

They are International Master (IM) Manon Reja Neer, FIDE Master Tahsin Tajwar Zia, FIDE Master Subrota Biswas, International Master Md. Minhaz Uddin and FIDE Master Mohammad Javed.

As IM Mohammad Fahad shared point with Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan playing out to a 1–1 game point and IM Abu Sufian Shakil drew 1–1 game points with Candidate Master (CM) Abhik Sarkar, IM Fahad will now play against Mostafa and Shakil meets Avik in a playoff match tomorrow (Friday).

In the days second round matches, IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman defeated Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan, IM Manon Reja Neer defeated Ananta Choudhury, FIDE Master Tahsin Tajwar Zia beat Candidate Master Md. Masum Hossain, FIDE Master Subrota Biswas beat Candidate Master Sohel Chowdhury and IM Md. Minhaz Uddin defeated FIDE Master Sheikh Nasir Ahmed, FIDE Master Mohammad Javed got a walkover against FIDE Master Khandaker Aminul Islam, FIDE Master Syed Mahfuzur Rahman split point with FIDE Master Sakline Mostafa Sajid and IM Abu Sufiyan Shakil split point with Avik Sarker.
