DHAKA, Feb 8, 2026 (BSS) - Team Aparajeyo lifted the CCDM T20 Challenge Cup
after cruising to a five-wicket win over Team Agrani in the final game today
at Cricketers Academy Ground.
With the match, the tournament which was introduced to ensure continued
competitive playing opportunities for players from the eight non-
participating clubs of the Dhaka First Division Cricket League 2025-26, came
to an end.
The eight-team tournament saw Aparajeyo won six matches from seven in the
group phase two move to the final while Agrani won five. Team Odommo also won
five but Agrani edged out them with better run rate to confirm the final
against Aparajeyo.
However, Aparajeyo put up a solid performance in the final too to seal the
title in emphatic fashion.
Asked to bat first, Agrani managed to score 155-8, a total that Aparajeyo
gunned down in 18.3 overs, reaching 159-5 for the victory.
Skipper Touhid Khan led the charge with 35 ball-45, hitting six fours and one
six but Salehin Rifat Shad gave the impetus with a whirlwind 16 ball-40 not
out, an innings laced with four fours and three sixes.
His innings basically hastened the victory, denying a tough fight from Agrani
bowlers.
While chasing the target, Aparajeyo top order made a shaky start by losing
two wickets for 19 runs. Tawsif Ahmed (18) and Safayet Ifty (20) showed some
fight to steady the innings but Agrani bowlers hit back by dismissing the
duo, further reeling Aparajeyo to 69-4.
When Agrani appeared to be in control, Touhid and Rifat shared a 70-run
partnership for the fifth wicket, to dash their hopes.
While Touhid was dismissed, Rifat closed out the game with the support from
Rakik Islam who was not out on 15.
Earlier, Agrani got a fluent start from its opener Reyajul Mollah who
hammered 20 off 7 with three sixes but they lost some wickets in crucial
moments which pushed them to the corner.
Riazul Karim who made team-best 43 and Rahanur Islam who scored 31gave them
some impetus in the middle, paving the platform of 150-plus total. But at the
end, it was not enough.
Masmain Sagor claimed 3-43 for Aparajeyo and was ably supported by Raihan
Uddin and Asaduzzman's two-wicket haul.
