DHAKA, Dec 18, 2025 (BSS)-The Dhaka First Division Cricket League is set to resume on December 21 with 12 clubs after eight clubs got relegated following walkovers in the first round.
Partex Sporting Club, Gazi Tyres Cricket Academy, Kalabagan Krira Chakra, Amber Sporting Club, Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity, Orient Sporting Club, Kakrail Boys Club and Surjotorun Club were the eight clubs who didn't show up in their scheduled matches.
The Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) started the league with 20 clubs on December 14 but only three of 10 matches were played in two match days with the rest seeing walkovers.
The CCDM then sat with the 12 remaining clubs to discuss a revised fixture.
"There will be some changes and the number of matches will be reduced after eight clubs were relegated following no show up," CCDM Chairman Adnan Rahman Dipon told the reporters.
"After the elaborate discussion with 12 clubs, we have decided to restart the league on December 21."
