DHAKA, Dec 18, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ishmat Ara Al Jalila, mother of its former executive member and vice-president of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation Khandakar Hasan Munir.

Ishmat Ara Al Jalila, former teacher of Rajarbag Police Lines School And College, passed away this morning due to cancer at the age of 83, said a press release.

In a condolence message, the president of BOA and Army Chief Waker-Uz-Zaman, its Secretary General Jubaidur Rahman, officials and employees expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ishmat Ara Al Jalila and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
