DHAKA, Dec 5, 2025 (BSS)- Brazilian forward Dorielton scored brace as Bashundhara Kings registered an overwhelming 5-1 goals victory over Brothers Union Club in the lone fifth round match of Bangladesh Football League (BFL) held at Birshreshtha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj today (Friday).
With this win, Kings maintained their domination in the league table with 13 points from five matches while the all-orange Gopibagh outfit, who stand third position in the league table, remained with their previous collection of seven points playing the same number of matches.
Apart from Dorielton’s two goals in the match in the 41st and 77th minutes, forward Faysal Ahmed Fahim, Nigerian forward Sunday Emmanuel and midfielder Md Sohel Ran supported him with a lone goal each for Kings in the 45+1st , 50tth and 54th minutes respectively.
Mozammel Hossain pulled one back for Brothers Union in the 90th minute of the match.
Bashundhara Kings will play their next match against Mohammedan Sporting Club while Brothers Union Face Arambagh Krira Sangha on December 12.
In the remaining fifth round matches tomorrow (Saturday), old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj meet Arambagh Krira Sangha at the same venue, Bangladesh Police Football Club face Fakirerpool Young Men’s Club at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur, Abahani Limited Dhaka take on Fortis Football Club at Bashudhara Kings arena in the capital and holders Mohammedan Sporting Club play against PWD Sports Club at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla.
