RAJSHAHI, Dec 4, 2025 (BSS) - The much-awaited Inter-college Football Tournament-2025 is set to begin on December 18.

Top-ranking college teams from all eight districts of the division will participate in the tournament, which will be held on a knockout basis at two venues-Rajshahi Freedom Fighters Memorial Stadium and the Government Physical Education College playground, until December 22.

A preparatory meeting at the conference hall of the Divisional Commissioner's Office today, chaired by Divisional Commissioner Dr ANM Bazlur Rashid, reviewed arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the tournament.

During the meeting, the tournament fixtures were finalized through a lottery system.

Additional Commissioner Habibur Rahman, Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police Khondoker Shamim Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Hafizur Rahman, Physical Education College Principal Lubna Yeasmin, and District Education Officer Jahangir Hossain, among others, attended the meeting.

Speaking at the event, Commissioner Dr Bazlur Rashid expressed hope that the tournament would provide a significant platform for young players. "We aim to conduct the tournament with disciplined management and in a festive spirit," he said.
