DHAKA, Dec 3, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh cricketers got rewarded for their strong
performances in the recently concluded T20I series against Ireland. The
updated ICC rankings, released today, show notable improvements for several
players.
Opener Parvez Hossain Emon has made a significant jump, moving up 21 places
to 38th in the T20I batsmen's rankings. He scored 77 runs in three innings
during the series, averaging 38.50. Towhid Hridoy, who posted the highest
score of the series with 89 runs in two innings, has also risen by five
places to 43rd.
In the T20I bowlers' rankings, Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman has climbed
two spots to 8th. He took three wickets for 73 runs across three matches.
Offspinner Mahedi Hasan, who was the standout bowler of the series with a
brilliant four wickets for 49 runs in two matches, has jumped three places to
14th. Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain, who took four wickets for 55 runs, has
improved by five places to 19th. Left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed has also moved
up five spots, now sitting at 25th.
Elsewhere, Pakistan emerged as the champions of the Tri-Nation T20 series in
Rawalpindi on November 29. Pakistan's Saim Ayub regained the top spot in the
T20 all-rounder rankings, after an impressive performance where he scored 118
runs and took three wickets in five innings.
