DHAKA, Nov 09, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Youth Hockey Team is going to participate in the ‘FIH Hockey Men's Junior World Cup Tamil Nadu 2025’ to be held in Tamil Nadu, India from November 28 to December 10.
Marking the event, the Bangladesh National Youth Hockey Team jersey unveiling, photo session and meet the press organized by Bangladesh Hockey Federation was held at the Falcon Hall of the Air Force in the city today, said an ISPR release.
Chief of Air Staff and President of Bangladesh Hockey Federation Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan was present as the chief guest at the event.
He gave valuable advice to the players to play with confidence.
Senior officials of the Air Force, National Sports Council, Ministry of Youth and Sports and officials of the Hockey Federation were present at the event.
It is mentionable that a total of 24 countries from the world will participate in the World Cup in six pools.
Bangladesh, India, China, Japan, Korea and Oman will represent Asia. Bangladesh will play in Pool ‘F’. Apart from Bangladesh, Pool ‘F’ includes hockey teams France, Australia and Korea. In the pool stage, Bangladesh Youth Hockey Team will face Australia on November 29 at the Chennai ground.
As part of the preparations for the Youth World Cup, the Youth Hockey Team participated in a five-month training camp from July to November, including participating in a preparatory tournament in Malaysia.
