DHAKA, Nov 8, 2025 (BSS) - Amite Hasan missed out a deserved century as Sylhet
were reduced to 172-7 on Day 1 of their third round National Cricket League
(NCL) game against Rangpur at Cox's Bazar Cricket Stadium today.
After a delayed start due to wet outfield, Sylhet were troubled by Robiul
Haque who removed both openers in single digit figure before Amite resisted.
While he played his shots with utmost confidence to keep the runs flowing,
his effort was undermined by the failure of other batters.
Rangpur's Abdullah Al Mamun who grabbed 3-55 sliced the Sylhet middle despite
Amite's resistance.
Before Mukidul Islam Mugdho dismissed him with a return catch, Amite hit 91
off 110 with 11 boundaries.
Rejaur Rahman Raja was batting on 28 with Naim Hossain Sakib on 2 when bad
light forced early stumps to the day.
