DHAKA, May 26, 2025 (BSS)- The Junior Services Kabaddi League has begun at 
National Kabaddi Stadium in the capital today (Monday).

National Sports Council Secretary Aminul Islam formally inaugurated the meet 
as the chief guest.
 
Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation vice-president Abdullah Al Noman, its general 
secretary SM Newaz Shohag, joint secretaries Israil Hawlader and Abdul Haque, 
executive member Mahmudur Rahman Chunnu were also present in the opening 
ceremony.

On the first day of the league, Bangladesh Army beat Bangladesh Police by 45-
27 points after leading the first half by 20-13 points.

Ibrahim Mollik of Army was named the player of the match for his impressive 
performance.
 
The six services teams -- Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh 
Navy, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Jail and Fire Service and Civil Defence-- 
split into two groups are taking part in the league.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals. The final 
is slated on May 30.
