DHAKA, Sept 04, 2026 (BSS) - President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep shock at the death of Tojammel Hossain Khan, a prominent political figure, social worker and businessman in Thakurgaon.

In a message of condolence today, the President said Tojammel Hossain had worked tirelessly for democracy, independence and development for long. With his death, the northern region has lost a prominent figure.

He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family.

Tojammel breathed his last today while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka.
