DHAKA, Aug 21, 2026 (BSS) - Three more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The information was disclosed in a press release issued by the DGHS control room here today.

According to the release, 876 patients with measles symptoms were reported in the last 24-hour period while the total number of patients with measles symptoms reached 147,591 from March 15 to August 21.

The number of confirmed measles cases in the last 24 hours was 64 while the total number of confirmed cases reached 18,208 since March 15.

A total of 128,825 patients with measles symptoms were admitted to different hospitals from March 15 to August 21. During the same period, 124,558 patients recovered and were discharged from the hospitals.

No one died from confirmed measles in the last 24 hours while 99 people died from confirmed measles since March 15.
