DHAKA, Aug 19, 2026 (BSS) - The government today appointed Bangladesh Navy’s Rear Admiral Md Moinul Hasan as Director General (DG) of the Bangladesh Coast Guard.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard, saying that the incumbent DG of the Bangladesh Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Md Ziaul Hoque, has been sent to the Armed Forces Division.

The notification said the order, issued in the public interest, will come into effect immediately.
