DHAKA, Aug 17, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested 63 people in separate special drives conducted over the past 24 hours in Pallabi, Jatrabari and Mugda areas of the capital.

According to a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) press release, of the total, 27 were arrested in Pallabi, 24 in Jatrabari and 12 in Mugda for their alleged involvement in various crimes, including cases filed against them and warrant-related offences.

The arrestees include regular accused, warrant-listed suspects and people allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

Legal proceedings against the arrested are underway.
