DHAKA, Aug 11, 2026 (BSS) — A seminar in the city highlighted Japan’s growing opportunities for skilled Bangladeshi workers, with emphasis on Japanese-language proficiency, professional skills and workplace discipline required to build successful careers in the country.

Speakers at the seminar focused on preparing Bangladeshi youth for employment in Japan by equipping them with technical and professional skills as well as an understanding of Japanese workplace culture.

Heartful Limited, a Japanese Language and Technical Training School, organised the seminar on Tuesday titled “Today’s Training, Tomorrow’s Journey to Japan” at the Bangladesh Coast Guard Technical Training Institute (BCGTTI), bringing together Japanese guests, Bangladesh Coast Guard representatives, trainees, guardians and company officials, said a press release.

Captain Mohammad Habibullah (S), psc, PCGMS, NDC, Director (Logistics), Bangladesh Coast Guard, attended the event as the chief guest.

Japanese guests participating in the programme shared their experiences and perspectives on Japan’s employment environment, skilled workforce requirements and workplace culture, providing trainees with practical insights into the expectations of Japanese employers.

Managing Director of Heartful Limited Murad Hassan Zenith said the company aims to prepare trainees not only for employment but also for successful long-term careers in Japan.

“Our objective is not simply to provide training. We want to prepare our trainees with the skills, language ability, discipline and professional mindset necessary to compete successfully in an international workplace, particularly in Japan,” he said.

He stressed that obtaining a training certificate should be viewed as the beginning of a professional journey rather than its conclusion.

The seminar also underscored Japanese-language education as a key component of Japan-bound skills development, alongside technical competence, communication ability and professional discipline.

Chairman of Heartful Limited Yoshida Tomohiro highlighted the potential for stronger human-resource cooperation between Bangladesh and Japan through skills development and responsible international employment.

He said acquiring professional skills could serve as a bridge between the two countries, opening greater economic and career opportunities for Bangladeshi youth while helping meet Japan’s demand for skilled workers.

The event also featured a certificate distribution ceremony for successful trainees from the first, second and third batches. The organisers encouraged the trainees to use their training and language skills as a foundation for pursuing employment opportunities in Japan.

The programme reflected Heartful Limited’s efforts to strengthen Bangladesh-Japan human-resource cooperation by preparing young Bangladeshis for the Japanese labour market and helping them adapt to the country’s professional environment.
