DHAKA, July 1, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 79,100 Bangladeshi Hajjs and service providers have returned home from Saudi Arabia as of Tuesday following the completion of this year's Hajj held on May 26.
“A total of 216 return flights were operated by three designated carriers -- 116 by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 70 by Saudia Airlines and 30 by Flynas Airlines,” an official said.
Hajj office said so far, 4,459 Hajis returned under government management, while 74,641 under private travel agencies arrangements in 216 flights.
According to airline-wise data, 34,567 pilgrims arrived on 116 flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 25,377 on 70 flights of Saudi Airlines, 11,043 on 30 flights of Flynas Airlines and 8,113 Hajis left Saudi Arabia on board with other carriers.
Besides, 55 Bangladeshi pilgrims have passed away in Saudi Arabia during Hajj with 37 males and 18 females.
This year's Hajj operations began with the first outbound flight on April 18 and concluded on May 21.
The return Hajj flights started on May 30 and will continue until July 1.
