DHAKA, May 23, 2026 (BSS) — Police have arrested 10 individuals during a special anti-crime drive conducted in different crime-prone areas under the Jatrabari Police Station. 

According to police sources, the operation was carried out on Friday as part of ongoing efforts to curb crime and maintain law and order in the area. 

The arrested individuals were identified as Maruf, 21, Md Mizanur Rahman, 36, Md Miraj alias Afzal Hossain Miraj, 21, Tanvir, 19, Sohel, 30, Rakib Molla, 26, Md Shahin, 42, Lincoln, 20, Asif Mahmud, 32, and Md Nazmul Hawlader, 27. 

Of them, three were accused in regular cases, one in an old case, one was arrested on warrant, four were detained through a mobile court drive, and one was arrested under Section 54 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. 

The arrested individuals were sent to the concerned court for further legal proceedings.
