DHAKA, May 22, 2026 (BSS) - The government has appointed Muhammad Muhibbillahil Baqi as the Director General (Grade-1) of the Islamic Foundation on a contractual basis for one year.

A notification signed by Md. Golam Rabbani, Deputy Secretary of the Contract and Foreign Recruitment Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration, confirmed the appointment today.

According to the notification, the appointment has been made under Sections 5(ka)(1) and (2) of the Islamic Foundation Act, 1975.

The notification further states that he will serve in the post for one year from the date of his joining.

It also said that prior to taking up the assignment, he must resign from any other profession, business, or employment with any government, semi-government, or private organization.
